QUALIFICATIONS

All applicants must:

  • Currently be a 10th, 11th or 12th grade student
  • Have a minimum GPA (unweighted) of 2.5 and must be in good academic standing and have no attendance or disciplinary problems at their school
  • Complete a Volunteer Ambassador Leadership Program Application and interview with Camp S.W.A.G. Leadership Program Advisor
  • References – Provide at least three references – two (2) from schoolteachers and one (1) from a coach, counselor, principal, pastor, work supervisor, community member, etc. (Please bring sealed references to interview)
  • Submit resume (If available)
  • Copy of school transcripts or current report card
  • Must be up to date on all school immunizations
  • Must exhibit leadership skills and be comfortable leading some leadership activities and/or sessions
  • Must be comfortable working with 6th – 9th grade students

References or Letter of Recommendations 

OR

  • Three (3) Letters of Recommendation from a school teacher(s), coach, counselor, principal, pastor, work supervisor, community member, etc.
