The Empower Youth Leadership Program for high school students is designed to help teens develop leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and academic habits that will guide them through high school and prepare them for college, careers, and beyond. The program emphasizes self-awareness, confidence, and practical tools for overcoming challenges, making decisions, and exploring future possibilities.
Comprehensive Program Features
1. Advanced Leadership Training
- Leadership in Action:
- Opportunities to lead group projects, manage conflicts, and practice group dynamics in real-world scenarios.
- Hands-on leadership activities, including event planning (e.g., Teen Talent Show Committee and Graduation Ceremony).
- Public Speaking & Advocacy:
- Training in public speaking, advocacy, and persuasive communication.
- Mock presentations, debates, and networking exercises to prepare for leadership roles in school and beyond.
2. Career Exploration and College Prep
- College Readiness:
- Guidance through the college admissions process, including writing personal statements and essays.
- Access to scholarship opportunities, including awards available through the program.
- Career Mentorship:
- Personalized mentorship sessions with professionals from diverse industries.
- Insights into career paths through organized meetings with business leaders and professionals.
3. Emotional Intelligence and Mental Wellness
- Stress Management:
- Workshops to help manage academic pressures, social expectations, and personal stressors.

- Regular group mentoring sessions to foster collaboration and encouragement.
- Mentoring Middle School Students:
- High school participants will mentor middle school students, assisting with homework, tutoring, and leadership development.

- Monthly community service projects, such as organizing drives, park beautification, or Red Cross volunteering (age-eligible).
