“GIRLS ARE PHENOMENAL”

PEER MENTORING PROGRAM FOR

CAMP S.W.A.G. MEMBERS

“Girls Are Phenomenal” Peer Mentors are Camp S.W.A.G. “Members” that are inspiring high school female students ages 16-19 years old, who mentor female elementary or middle school students during the school year. The female peer mentor will provide the less experienced female mentee support, guidance, encouragement, assistance with schoolwork and help building relationships with others.

“Girls Are Phenomenal” Peer Mentoring provides an opportunity for a caring female high school teenager to help develop a guiding, teaching relationship with a younger female student. These activities will be curriculum-based, such as a female high school student tutoring a female elementary or middle school student in reading or other skill-building activities. The teenage mentors will serve as positive role models that provide a younger student with ongoing support. All peer mentors are supervised my adult mentors.

To participate in this program, you must be a member of either the “Girls Are Phenomenal” Leadership Program for High School Girls or you must be female leader in the Youth Leadership Program for High School Students.
