Camp S.W.A.G. Teen Talent Show Rules and Regulations

1.) Only current 6th – 12th grade students can participate in the Camp S.W.A.G. Teen Talent Show.

2.) Each Group Act MUST identify a Group Leader that will act as the main contact for the group and is responsible for coordinating with the Camp S.W.A.G. Talent Show Committee.

  • Entries may consist of one (1) to six (6) students working together on a cohesive presentation; students in one entry need not attend the same school.

3.) For auditions, please provide your own music and music system. No video, PowerPoint or DVD may be used as part of an act.

4.) No lip-syncing is allowed. Singers using CD’s must eliminate voices, as in karaoke.

5.) If you are using props, you are in charge of placing your own props on the stage in rehearsal. However, the stage manager will assist with the placement of props on stage during the show.

6.) A non-refundable and non-transferable entry fee of $35 for solo/duets and $45 for groups, respectively, is required and the relevant fee must accompany the registration form.

7.) CDs that are used during the performance must be turned in with a registration packet or on Audition day and will not be returned.

8.) 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be designated to the respective winning entities, with the 1st place winning entity taking a “Grand Prize” trophy and a cash award that will be announced.

9.) Each act is limited to 3 minutes for solo/duet performances and 5 minutes for group performances.

10.) Each Act/Group is limited to 5 minutes for setup and breakdown time combined.

11.) All performances MUST follow Camp S.W.A.G. and school appropriate language, dress code and music choice (no explicit lyrics). Any inappropriateness may disqualify an act at the show, such inappropriateness is up to the discretion of the Camp S.W.A.G. Talent Show Committee. All performances must be in good taste.

12.) No fire, smoke or smoke-effect will be allowed on stage at any time.

13.) Camp S.W.A.G. Teen Talent Show is not responsible for theft, damage, or injury of any kind to persons or instruments, props, clothing etc., during, before or after the performance.

14.) If a contestant should decide to drop out of the Teen Talent Show, any entry fee paid will NOT be refunded. If the Talent Show is canceled, any registration fee paid WILL be refunded.

15.) Contestants must be present at all meetings, rehearsals and shows and must be present during the entire show period. If this is not possible, contestants must contact the Camp S.W.A.G. Teen Talent Show Committee, immediately.

16.) Camp S.W.A.G. Teen Talent Show reserves and holds the right to use any contestant’s name and/or photo for any further publicity purposes.

17.) Rehearsals are exclusive and are only open to contestants, accompanist, and Camp S.W.A.G. Teen Talent Show coordinators.

18.) Camp S.W.A.G. will provide a standard piano, lighting, and sound system for the show. You must provide any additional instruments, props, audio/visual support, etc., that will be used during the performance.

19.) All performers must arrive and be ready to perform by three hours prior to the start of the talent show. Contestants arriving late will be disqualified and will NOT be issued a refund.  Missed rehearsal time, as may be available, will result in a forfeiture of same.

20.) All performances must be in good taste. The Camp S.W.A.G. Teen Talent Show Committee reserves the final decision to decline applications deemed inappropriate, by its own definition.

21.) All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Please contact us at (800) 277-5965 or via email at Talent Show with any questions.

22.) No refunds will be issued for being disqualified for inappropriate behavior, inappropriate language, inappropriate acts and/or arriving late to auditions and/or performance day.

23) No weapons, side-arms, guns, or violence are permitted.
