Apply for Camp S.W.A.G. Scholarship Consideration
At Camp S.W.A.G. (Students With Ambitions & Goals), we believe students should have access to meaningful experiences that build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, encourage personal growth, and help them pursue their goals.
Through its affiliation with Camp S.W.A.G. Academy™, Camp S.W.A.G. offers a limited number of 50% and 100% needs-based scholarships for eligible students participating in select Academy opportunities.
Scholarships are intended for motivated students who demonstrate financial need, program readiness, leadership potential, and a commitment to completing the applicable Academy experience.
Scholarship availability may vary by program, location, and application cycle.
Two levels of needs-based scholarship support.
100% Scholarship
The 100% scholarship covers the full published program investment for the Academy opportunity identified in the scholarship award.
Families receiving a 100% scholarship remain responsible for all required, non-refundable Academy application and enrollment fees.
50% Scholarship
The 50% scholarship covers half of the published program investment for the Academy opportunity identified in the scholarship award.
- The family is responsible for the remaining 50% of the program investment.
- The family is responsible for all required, non-refundable Academy application and enrollment fees.
The remaining tuition balance must be paid by the published deadline or through an approved Academy payment plan, when available.
Scholarship funds are applied directly toward the student’s applicable Academy account. Scholarship awards are not issued to families as cash payments.
Important Application Notice
Families seeking Camp S.W.A.G. scholarship assistance must complete the applicable Camp S.W.A.G. Academy™ program application and the Camp S.W.A.G. Scholarship Application.
The two applications are separate. Before submitting this scholarship application, families should submit the applicable Academy program application according to the Academy’s published instructions.
Scholarship consideration does not complete Academy enrollment. Families receiving scholarship support must still:
- Meet all applicable Academy eligibility requirements
- Complete the Academy application and review process
- Pay applicable non-refundable application or enrollment fees
- Accept the scholarship by the stated deadline
- Pay any remaining tuition balance, when applicable
- Complete all required Academy enrollment steps
Submitting either application does not guarantee scholarship approval, Academy admission, or program placement.

Camp S.W.A.G. scholarship consideration is designed for students who are prepared to take the Academy experience seriously and participate fully.

Students who currently demonstrate leadership ability or who are ready to grow through accountability, teamwork, responsibility, and guided support.
General scholarship requirements.
To be considered for a Camp S.W.A.G. scholarship, the student and family must:
- Meet the eligibility requirements for the applicable Camp S.W.A.G. Academy™ opportunity
- Demonstrate financial need under the published income guidelines
- Show interest in leadership development, personal growth, and achieving meaningful goals
- Demonstrate readiness to participate actively in the Academy experience
- Commit to all applicable attendance and participation requirements
- Submit a complete Camp S.W.A.G. scholarship application
- Provide all required student, household, financial, and supporting information
- Complete the applicable Academy application and enrollment requirements
Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee a scholarship award.
How financial eligibility is evaluated.
Camp S.W.A.G. uses household income and household size to evaluate financial eligibility for its needs-based scholarships.
The income limits are based on percentages of the Federal Poverty Guidelines published annually by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Camp S.W.A.G. determines how those guidelines are applied to its independent scholarship program.
100% Scholarship Financial Eligibility
The 100% scholarship is generally intended for families with annual household income at or below 200% of the current Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Priority may be given to families that demonstrate that they would be unable to participate if required to pay a remaining tuition balance.
50% Scholarship Financial Eligibility
The 50% scholarship is generally intended for families with annual household income above 200% and at or below 400% of the current Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Families must be able to pay the remaining 50% tuition balance and all required Academy application or enrollment fees.
A family with income at or below 200% may still be considered for a 50% scholarship when:
- A 100% scholarship is unavailable
- The family confirms that it can pay the remaining tuition balance
- The family meets all other scholarship and Academy requirements
2026 Federal Poverty Guideline Income Parameters
The following household-income parameters are used to help families understand the general financial ranges for Camp S.W.A.G. scholarship consideration.

- Add $11,360 for each additional person when calculating the 200% income limit.
- Add $22,720 for each additional person when calculating the 400% income limit.
Income limits are reviewed annually and may be updated based on the Federal Poverty Guidelines in effect when the scholarship application is reviewed.
Applicants may be required to provide documentation verifying household income and household size. Documentation may include:
- Federal income tax documentation
- Recent pay statements
- Unemployment or disability benefit statements
- Social Security benefit statements
- Public-assistance documentation
- Child-support or other household-income records
- Other verification requested during the review process
Incomplete, inconsistent, or unverifiable financial information may delay the application review or affect scholarship eligibility.
Scholarship decisions consider the complete application.
Scholarships are limited and are not awarded solely because a household falls within an eligible income range.

- Household income and household size
- Documented financial circumstances
- Student eligibility
- Student readiness and program fit
- Leadership potential
- School information when applicable
- Student short-answer responses
- Attendance and participation commitment
- Completeness and accuracy of the application
- Availability of scholarship awards
- Availability within the applicable Academy program

Scholarship Review
Camp S.W.A.G. reviews financial eligibility, supporting documentation, student responses, program readiness, and participation commitment.
Scholarship Decision
Selected families receive a scholarship decision by email identifying the award offered, applicable conditions, acceptance deadline, and next steps.
Enrollment & Scholarship Activation
Complete all applicable Academy enrollment requirements, accept the scholarship, and satisfy any remaining payment obligations by the stated deadlines.
Camp S.W.A.G. may contact the parent or guardian when additional information or documentation is required during scholarship review.
A scholarship decision does not by itself mean Academy enrollment is complete. Scholarship support becomes effective only after all applicable award conditions and Academy enrollment requirements have been satisfied.

School Information
Current school information is required. Camp S.W.A.G. may request additional school information or verification when reasonably necessary during scholarship review.
Household Information
The number of people included in the household and accurate information regarding household income.
Financial Documentation
Current documentation sufficient to verify household income and financial eligibility.
Student Short-Answer Responses
The application includes questions that must be answered directly by the student rather than by the parent or guardian.
Parent or Guardian Acknowledgment
Confirmation of the accuracy of the financial information, the family’s participation commitment, and understanding of the scholarship and Academy enrollment processes.
Reliable Email Access
Scholarship decisions, requests for additional information, deadlines, and related enrollment instructions will be sent by email. Families should monitor their inbox and spam or junk folders.
Important scholarship responsibilities.
Camp S.W.A.G. scholarships cover only the percentage of the published Academy program investment identified in the scholarship award.
Scholarships do not cover required Academy application or enrollment fees unless expressly stated otherwise in the written scholarship award. Those fees remain the responsibility of the parent or guardian and are non-refundable.
A 50% scholarship recipient is responsible for the remaining 50% of the program investment.
A 100% scholarship recipient has no remaining tuition balance covered by the scholarship award but remains responsible for required Academy application and enrollment fees.
Scholarship approval does not automatically constitute Academy admission, enrollment, or program placement.
Students must complete all applicable Academy application and enrollment steps, satisfy eligibility requirements, and comply with attendance, participation, teamwork, and program-conduct expectations.
Scholarships:
- Are awarded only to the selected student
- Cannot be transferred to another student
- Cannot be exchanged for cash
- Cannot be applied to a different Academy opportunity without written approval
- May be withdrawn when applicable deadlines or requirements are not met
- May be revoked when application information or supporting documentation is inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading
