Camp S.W.A.G. is a leadership organization focused on teens. We are strongly committed to protecting the privacy of young people and all our users. We strive to present this policy using plain, straightforward language that is easy for teens and parents to understand. “Personally Identifiable Information” (PI)

Refers to any information that can be used to identify, contact, or locate the person to whom such information pertains, including, but not limited to, name, address, phone number, fax number, email address, financial profile, social security number, and credit card information. PI does not include information collected anonymously or demographic information not connected to an identified individual.

No Sale of Personal Information

Camp S.W.A.G. does not sell personal information. We do not exchange personal data for money, marketing access, or cross‑context behavioral advertising. Any information shared with service providers is used only to operate our programs, process payments, or support essential services, and those providers are contractually prohibited from selling or using your information for their own purposes.

B. INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

1. What Information is Collected?

We may collect basic user profile information from all of our Visitors. We collect the following additional information from our Authorized Customers: the name, email address, phone number, address, and social media profile information.

2. How the Site Uses PI

We use Personally Identifiable Information to customize the Site, make appropriate service offerings, and fulfill buying and selling requests on the Site. We may email Visitors and Authorized Customers about resea¹rch, purchase, and selling opportunities or information related to the subject matter of the Site. We may also use PI to contact users in response to specific inquiries or to provide requested information.

3. Collection by Third Parties

In addition to our direct collection of information, our third-party service vendors (such as credit card companies, clearinghouses, and banks) may collect this information from our Visitors and Authorized Customers to provide services like credit, insurance, and escrow. We do not control how these third parties use such information, but we ask them to disclose how they use personal information provided to them. Some of these third parties may act solely as links in the distribution chain and do not store, retain, or use the information given to them.

4. Information Sharing

Personally Identifiable Information about Authorized Customers may be shared with other Authorized Customers who wish to evaluate potential transactions. We may share aggregated information about our Visitors, ²including demographics, with our affiliated agencies and third-party vendors.

1. Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer. We use Cookies to obtain information about the preferences of our Visitors and the services they select. We also use Cookies for security purposes (e.g., automatically logging off an Authorized Customer after 10 minutes of inactivity).

Camp S.W.A.G. uses login information, including, but not limited to, IP addresses, ISPs, and browser types, versions, pages visited, date and time of visit, to analyze trends, administer the Site, track a user’s movement and use, and gather broad demographic information.

D. DATA SECURITY AND YOUR CHOICES

1. Data Security

Personally Identifiable Information collected by Camp S.W.A.G. is securely stored and only accessible to a limited number of qualified employees who are given a password. We audit our security systems and processes regularly. Sensitive information, such as credit card or social security numbers, is protected by encryption protocols. While we take commercially reasonable measures to maintain security, we cannot guarantee against errors, tampering, or break-ins.

2. Correcting, Deleting, and Opting Out

• Correction: Visitors and Authorized Customers may contact us at Admin@cswag.org to update their Personally Identifiable Information.
• Deletion: We provide a mechanism to delete/deactivate Personally Identifiable Information from the Site’s database. An individual who requests deactivation will have this information functionally deleted, and we will not sell, transfer, or use that information moving forward.
• Unsolicited Information Opt-Out: You may opt-out of receiving unsolicited information from us and/or our vendors/affiliated agencies by responding to emails as instructed, or by contacting us at Admin@cswag.org.

• Response Timeline: We respond within 45 days, with a possible 45‑day extension if needed.
• Fulfillment:
  • Access requests: We provide the information we have collected.
  • Correction requests: We update inaccurate information.
  • Deletion requests: We delete or de‑identify personal information unless an exception applies.
  • Opt‑out requests: We apply your preferences immediately and confirm your opt‑out.

F. YOUTH AND CHILDREN’S PRIVACY (COPPA/CPRA Specifics)

Protection of Youth Data

Camp S.W.A.G. is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of young people. Data collected from participants under the age of 18, with appropriate consent, is stored in a restricted-access database accessible only by authorized staff. Such data is retained only as long as necessary and is securely deleted thereafter.

1. COPPA Compliance (Age 12 and Under)

Our Services are primarily intended for youth ages 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verified parental or guardian consent, as required by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

• Parental Consent: We require verified parental or guardian consent before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information from children under the age of 13.
• Parental Rights Under COPPA: Parents and guardians have the right to review, request deletion, or refuse further collection of their child’s personal information.

2. CPRA Compliance (Age 13 to 15)

For minors aged 13 to 15, we will not sell or share their personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising unless the minor (or their parent/guardian) has provided affirmative consent (opt-in).

G. CALIFORNIA CONSUMER PRIVACY ACT (CCPA) / CPRA NOTICE

This notice informs you of the categories of PI collected, the business/commercial purposes, and a link to this full Privacy Policy. We will not collect additional categories of PI or use PI for additional purposes without providing a new notice.

H. GENERAL COMPLIANCE

1. Compliance With Laws

We will disclose Personally Identifiable Information in order to comply with a court order subpoena or a request from a law enforcement agency. We will also disclose PI when reasonably necessary to protect the safety of our Visitors and Authorized Customers.

2. Policy Changes

We will let our Visitors and Authorized Customers know about changes to our privacy policy by posting such changes on the Site. If we change our policy in a way that might cause disclosure of PI a user previously requested not be disclosed, we will contact that user to allow them to prevent such disclosure.
