Sherry’s leadership is grounded in a commitment to excellence and a belief that every young person deserves a clear, intentional pathway for personal and professional growth.

Sherry serves as the Executive Director of Camp S.W.A.G. (Students With Ambitions & Goals) and leads the Youth Leadership Foundations with a hands‑on, student‑centered approach. While supported by a dedicated team, she remains actively involved in every Camp S.W.A.G. program, guiding the leadership curriculum and working directly with students. Her passion for youth development shows up in the way she helps students build essential skills in communication, teamwork, problem‑solving, emotional intelligence, and personal responsibility. Sherry’s steady presence and intentional mentorship help create an environment where young people feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to grow into confident leaders.

Sherry’s vision for youth development is shaped by more than a decade of hands-on experience in the North Carolina public school system. As a substitute teacher in Wake and Durham counties, she taught across grade levels and subjects—including advanced math and science—while supporting students from diverse backgrounds. She also worked as a STEM instructor with Mad Science and as a dedicated math and science tutor, further strengthening her understanding of student needs, learning styles, and the real-world challenges today’s youth face.

In addition to her work with Camp S.W.A.G., Sherry is a seasoned entrepreneur and the Founder The Lady’z Lounge, where she serves as a HR & Organizational Strategist that specializes in burnout recovery, guiding women through confidence‑building, leadership development, and sustainable personal‑growth practices. She also leads the Camp S.W.A.G. Academy, a skills‑based learning arm of the Camp S.W.A.G. brand that offers advanced leadership, communication, and personal‑development training for teens. At the Academy, Sherry spearheaded the creation of the Girls Are Phenomenal™ program and the Youth Leadership Academy, two signature pathways designed to help teens deepen their leadership capacity and strengthen the skills they need to thrive. Both The Lady’z Lounge and the Camp S.W.A.G. Academy reflect her commitment to empowerment, intentional growth, and transformative leadership.

Sherry’s analytical approach to problem‑solving is rooted in a unique academic journey, having studied Biochemistry at California State University, Fullerton, and Criminalistics at Metropolitan State University of Denver. This combination of scientific and investigative study informs her data‑driven and detail‑oriented leadership style. Outside of the boardroom, Sherry enjoys smooth jazz and outdoor adventures such as skiing, surfing, and hiking. She is also a passionate advocate for wildlife and dreams of one day operating a small wildlife reserve—an aspiration that reflects her love for nature and the outdoors.
