What Makes You, “You”?

“The Effects of Alcohol on Teen Brains”
Dr. Jessica Hoffman, postdoctoral researcher at University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, is a neuroscientist who investigates the ways in which alcohol changes the brain and behavior leading to addiction.
The brain is our most important organ. It’s what controls everything from regulating basic body functions and hormones to our personality and motivations. Ultimately, your brain is what makes ‘you’ you.
Dr. Hoffman will talk about effects of alcohol on the teen brain, covering the basics of how the brain works, demonstrating our brain’s role in our perception of the world, and briefly discussing careers in neuroscience.
