Camp S.W.A.G. Ambassadorship Program is designed to train youth to become Leaders, Mentors and Coaches in their community. Ambassadors will assist Camp S.W.A.G. in getting a Leadership Program up and running in their community. Once the program is up and running, Ambassadors will receive free tuition for the year, free resident camp for one year and assistance with all travel.*

Leadership Ambassador Responsibilities:

  • Assist Camp S.W.A.G. in getting a Leadership Program Up and Running in Their Community
  • Be the Ambassador for the Leadership Program
  • Commit to One-Year of Ambassadorship
  • Assist in Organizing and Leading Meetings and/or Sessions
  • Assist in Organizing Special Events
  • Recruit at least 5 full paying New Leaders into the One-Year Leadership Programs**
  • Work Well with Younger Students as a Mentor and Leader
  • Have a Positive Attitude

QUALIFICATIONS

All applicants must:

  • Currently be a 10th, 11th or 12th grade student
  • Have a minimum GPA (unweighted) of 2.5 and must be in good academic standing and have no attendance or disciplinary problems at their school
  • Complete Ambassador Leadership Program Application and interview with Camp S.W.A.G. Leadership Program Advisor
  • Submit resume (If available)
  • Copy of school transcripts or current report card
  • Must be up to date on all school immunizations
  • Must exhibit leadership skills and be comfortable leading some leadership activities and/or sessions
  • Must be comfortable working with 6th – 9th grade students
  • Provide Recommendation Forms OR Letters of Recommendations 
    • Three (3) Recommendation Forms – two (2) from school teachers and one (1) from a coach, counselor, principal, pastor, work supervisor, community member, etc.  Recommendation Form for Ambassador Program OR
    • Three (3) Letters of Recommendation from a school teacher(s), coach, counselor, principal, pastor, work supervisor, community member, etc.

*Free Leadership Program Tuition, Free Leadership Camp, and travel payment assistance for all Ambassadors who recruit at least 5 Full Paying New Leaders into the One-Year Leadership Program.
**If student fails to recruit at least five (5) new members into the One-Year Leadership Programs, a prorated payment for the leadership program, resident camp and travel will be charged at the end of the Ambassador Program Year. Details will be explained further if Ambassador is accepted into the Ambassador Leadership Program.

Out of Country Field Trips will Resume in 2023.
